Many of Vered Koren's works deal with the mixing of cultural symbols and their repositioning in space, so that they are given new meaning. The work is based on a photograph found in an internet search of a child bathing a snake somewhere in Thailand. The gentle child versus the threatening snake together in the same frame create a surreal contrast.
