Rotem Manor
Lives and works in Moshav Hibat Zion
Manor paints contemporary landscapes that shift between the symbolic and the abstract. Some works suggest familiar forms — a tree, a fragment of architecture, a solitary rock — while others dissolve into brushstrokes, lines, and color fields that only loosely evoke a landscape.
Often dreamlike, her paintings are drawn entirely from memory or imagination, without sketches or direct observation. At the core of her practice is a focus on the environment, human and the natural surroundings.
Using oil, ink, acrylic, and watercolor across formats from miniature to large-scale, Manor embraces an intuitive, fluid process that fosters immediacy and ongoing formal exploration.
Manor graduated a BFA from the Department of Fine Arts at Bezalel Academy of Arts and Design, and an MFA from The School of Arts, Culture & Hermeneutics at the University of Haifa.
