This photograph is influenced by the legend of "La Luba," which tells of a witch who collects wolf bones, resurrects them, and eventually becomes a living wolf herself (and back again, God forbid). In this photograph, it initially seems that we are looking at the body of a bird that crashed to its death on the pier. But in fact, the violent event did not occur: the artist Hadar Mitz built the wings by collecting bird feathers over a period of time, which she finally placed on the pier on a foggy day in a deliberate arrangement, as if preparing to take off again, as a metamorphosis or a new reincarnation.
