The holiday meal is one of the most common rituals in all cultures of the world and contains layers of history, tradition, tribalism and cultural symbols. This double work by Vered Koren seeks to freeze the status of the holiday meal and allow the viewer to charge it with any interpretation they wish. Two works that are hand-painted reproductions and create a fountain of reflection. The work combines a traditional Chinese material, the rice paper used for calligraphy, with the ritual and traditional image of the fish.
